The Texas Department of Public Safety is warning Laredo residents about the dangers of extreme heat. Heat stroke can be deadly and residents are urged to be aware of the risks during the summer months. Texas has some of the highest numbers of heat-related deaths in the nation, including deaths of children left in hot cars.
