A man from Michigan has been charged with murder in Alaska. The charges are related to the death of a man who went missing nearly 33 years ago. The missing man, Patrick Dearth, was 34 when he disappeared in November 1993.

His case remained unsolved until recently, when an anonymous tip was received by troopers. The tip led to the discovery of human remains in a barrel near the Steese Highway. The person who provided the tip was later identified and charged with second-degree murder.

Further details about the case are available from the Alaska State Troopers.
