The Laredo Police Department recently conducted a two-week impaired driving enforcement campaign. This effort resulted in 61 DWI arrests. The campaign was funded by a grant and involved officers working overtime to target DWI enforcement.

During the campaign, officers conducted multiple operations and made numerous traffic stops. In total, they issued over 400 citations. The police department is emphasizing the importance of initiatives like this due to the growing motor vehicle traffic in Laredo.

Residents are being urged to plan ahead and avoid drinking and driving. For more information on the campaign and its results, further details are available from the Laredo Police Department.
