From Grand Canyon, Ariz.: Flash flooding has resulted in a search for missing people. About 15 individuals are unaccounted for after the flooding occurred on Saturday afternoon. Initially, more than 20 people were thought to be missing, but this number was revised.

Dozens of people have been rescued from the affected area. The flooding caused significant damage, destroying nearly all footbridges over Bright Angel Creek. This has cut off access to hiking trails.

Rescue efforts have included airlifting people out of the area, with 62 people evacuated by Sunday morning. Further information is available from the National Park Service, which is continuing to assess damage and conduct evacuations.
