Mental health resources were shared at Laredo City Hall by the Area Health Education Center. The event included a press conference, 5K run, and wellness fair, focusing on the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline. Suicide deaths in the area have decreased by 25 percent this year.

Meanwhile, calls to the 988 lifeline have increased by about 45 percent. Eight suicide deaths have been reported so far this year. Further information about the event and mental health resources is available from the Area Health Education Center.
